Already finished day 3 of the Atlantic City Race Course meet. Day off on Monday and the final 3 days of the meet start on Tuesday. Very tired for now and working on the pics for the first 3 days. For now enjoy this pic. I'm off to bed for now!

9:16 pm - So it has been awhile!

Yes it took me long enough to post another entry! Not for the lack of trying, It's just because I was very busy! Alot of traveling between racetracks. So you wonder where Ive been. Well Gulfstream Park,Fair Grounds,Laurel,Pimlico,Deleware Park,Monmouth Park, Atlantic City Race Course,Keeneland,Charles Town,Parx (Known as Philadelphia Park),Penn National Suffolk Downs and Mountianeer Park. Along with the the local tracks Aqueduct,Belmont Park and Saratoga! It's been real fun working with www.femalejockeys.com and getting to know good people around the tracks (Jockey's,Trainer's,Regulars and Photographers). So I will show you a few pics from the past few years and some sites where my photography has been used! Enjoy!
Yesterday it was the Philmont Stakes, Won by Phil Dancer and Frankie Pennington.
It's Me Mom winning the Florida Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Sprint. It was the first time trying a pic from this side of the track! The rest of the Gulfstream Park pics can be seen Here
The Louisiana Derby won by 109-1 shot Hero of Order. The rest of the Fair Grounds pics can be seen Here
Preakness 136 won by Shackleford. Along with The Black-Eyed Susan, Legends Jockey Race and Lady's Jockey Challenge which can be seen Here
Covering the last two Lady's Jockeys Challenge at Parx. Last year won by Tara Hemmings.

3:09 pm - I was interviewed for Track Pack PA!
|
It has been a real long time since I did a entry. Much has happened over this year of 2010. I have been to such race tracks as Gulfstream, Laurel Park, Keeneland, Pimlico, Penn National, Philadelphia Park (Now Known as Parx),Delaware Park,Atlantic City, Mountaineer Park, Monmouth Park, Suffolk Downs and the usual Aqueduct, Belmont Park and Saratoga. Surprisingly I've done this with very little thanks to this economy. But who needs to play when I can get some good pics! Anyway on September.8,2010, Track Pack PA did an interview of me. The interview can be seen Here! October.2,2010 at Parx will be the 2nd annual Female Jockey's Challenge with the 41st Running Fritz Dixion Cotillion Stakes.
The Jockey's in this year's challenge is:
Anna Roberts, Jackie Davis,Tammi Pieramrini, Elaine Castillo, Rosemary Homeister Jr., Maria Remedio, Carie Kifer, Carol Cedeno, Katie Lee, Jane Magrell and Kayla Stra.
Carol Cedeno aboard Openedforbusiness. Carol would go on to win the inaugural challenge.

This past Saturday was the First National Lady's Riders Challange at Philadelphia Park, Alongside with the 40th Running of the Fritz Dixion Cotillion Stakes Accecpting the Challange were jockey's: Tammi Piermarini, Janice Blake-Baeza, Ashton Fitzpatrick, Jill Jellison, Jenna Jobert, Carol Cedeno, Tara Hemmings, Shannon Uske, Joanne McDaid, Jackie Davis, Maylan Studart and Anna Napravnik.Enjoy!  And the're off!  Divine Light with Janice Blake-Baeza wins the first Jockey Challange race.  Place Cat wins the second Jockey Challange race with Carol Cedeno.  Openedforbusiness wins the third Challange Race with Carol Cedeno.  And the final race went to Becky's Exchange and Carol Cedeno (The winner of the Jockey's Challange)  From Left to Right: Tammi Piermarini, Janice Blake-Baeza, Ashton Fitzpatrick, Jill Jellison, Jenna Jobert, Carol Cedeno (The Winner), Tara Hemmings, Shannon Uske, Joanne McDaid, Jackie Davis and Maylan Studart. Not shown is Anna Napravnik. (She was listed to ride the next race.)  Careless Jewel wins the 40th Fritz Dixion Cotillion Stakes with Robert Landry  There was an autograph session between the 4th and 7th races to benefit Brest Cancer reserch and awareness! Irgun with Gary Stevens up winning the 1994 Wood Memorial. Irgun won 3 of 5 short starts. He passed away at the age of 15 in Nashville,IL in 2006 where he was standing at stud.

Well I havn't had much time to post lately! It has been very hot here almost 100 degrees in the last 4 days!
Well being that I'm off for the last few days. I have been working on repairs to a few laptops I got on ebay for parts. My 8 year old laptop works better than my newer one. But the video sucks on the older one!

4:40 am - Wish me luck on this photo!

I took this photo well over a year ago, Yesterday I got a e-mail from the webmaster of nycsubway.org, A person is considering using this and other photos taken by other photographers in an upcomming book! The only problem is the photo is only this size 640x480. I used a very beat up HP photosmart camera which I lost along with the other laptop. So hopefully the photo can make it. So wih me luck!

I have been a little too busy these days, My dad has been very ill lately and I havn't been feeling well myself. It has been terrible weather wise here in NYC, It is late May and I'm wearing a winter coat still. I'm trying to catch up with bills so I can go on a trip later in the year.

4:53 am - Still fixin' things!

Been awhile since I did a journal spot, I'm in the middle of a real bad cold and coughing my lungs out. Also a mountin load of bills because of a bad July at work the first two weeks of that month I only worked 17 hours each, How do you live on that! While I was sick in bed with my laptop next to me, I did a myspace page which is here!

I have not been updating lately, I have been working too much. Today I have a funny feeling the Asst. Director was bad mouthing me. I ignored the cashier (who I have not been talking to for months anyway) was asking me A stupid question. But I had to run to the Bathroom anyway badly. Anyway one of the bartenders came in from the cafe. He was talking to the Asst. Director He pulled him over and said something. And I know it was bad. Just by the tone. Well it can only get back to the Director. I have had a real rough year at the Ice Rink. All I want to do is finish up on April 22nd and then take my 3 weeks vacation and work the summer. I still don't get the feeling I'm comming back for the Rink in the fall. I hope everything turns out for the better. Prey For Me!
